The Winner

The Grupotel Gravina in Barcelona by Inzink Design is the Winner of the third edition of the Shaping Surfaces competition by Cleaf.

The jury composed of multidisciplinary professionals of the design sector –Cristina Boeri, Luciano Caspani, Davide Cerati, Anna Moldenhauer, Ray Oranges – took into consideration both the innovation of the interior design and the best use of Cleaf surfaces.

The project for the transformation of the public areas combines the Mediterranean tradition with the most cosmopolitan contemporary design through a crossover of materials.
The existing stone floors have been treated to give it a more natural appearance, they are combined with wooden floors in the bar area.
On the walls there are different accents of colours and tactile effects by tuff, tiles, metal, blue calcite marble, stone and wooden surfaces by Cleaf.
In particular, Poro Noce LS13, applied through geometric shapes on the boiserie and bespoke furniture, gives both a traditional handcrafted feeling and a contemporary twist.

“Our philosophy is to carry out design projects that not only reflect our clients or their brand, but also improve their lives. We provide our vision and experience to advise and thus implement projects that avoid excessive formalism as a starting point. We prefer that ideas, creative concepts and functions be the ones that define the spaces we design”.
